Dr. Peter Manz and Dr. Mary Bruney announced that their practice, Midwest Chiropractic Center, has launched a new website for patients. The new site, which can be visited at http://midwestchirocolumbus.com/, includes educational information on non-invasive pain management and the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. Additionally, the practice recently won the 2011 "Reader's Choice Award" and the "Best Chiropractor" awards from Suburban News, the local newspaper. The practice has won the "Best Chiropractor" award for 3 years in a row.
"We treat a number of chronic pain and injuries, ranging from low back pain to car accident injuries," said Dr. Manz. "A common theme with all our patients is a lack of knowledge about effective pain management. Before receiving Columbus chiropractic care, many people believe that their only options are prescription medications or surgery. This site is designed to show pain patients that there is a better way back to good health."
The new website features a "Community Content" library with information on how chiropractic adjustments can treat different musculoskeletal conditions. The wellness center provides treatments for neck and back pain, headaches, sports injuries including knee pain and shoulder pain, sciatica, herniated discs, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia and auto injuries like whiplash. There is also information in the library about workers compensation claims and how to avoid workplace injuries.
Dr. Bruney emphasized the importance of the website's new 3D spine simulator for giving patients a visual representation of underlying misalignments. The simulator shows how a single herniated disc can compress nearby nerves, leading to chronic pain and conditions like sciatica.
"Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to your health," said Dr. Manz. "The new tools on the website empower our patients to take control of their own well being, far beyond simply managing chronic back pain. That's why we're so excited to launch our new wellness e-newsletter. This is a great resource for keeping patients informed about the latest developments in whole body wellness."
Individuals may sign up for the free e-newsletter on the practice's website. Each newsletter is customized to an individual's specific interests, including exercise & fitness, wellness topics, diet & nutrition, and women's health.
The award-winning chiropractors also are encouraging patients to visit the practice's blog to read about the latest wellness news. Patients can also follow the wellness center on Facebook.
"We're using social media tools to create an interactive dialogue with patients about pain management and wellness," said Dr. Bruney.
Individuals who wish to schedule an appointment with one of the chiropractors may do so by using the practice's online appointment request form online at http://midwestchirocolumbus.com.
